I'm sooo happy to be back with a brand new episode, because we're finally back in the present! Back with Bloom and Valtor after the season 1 finale. 🤍I loved writing the flashback, but it felt good to return to our two little idiots. 🥹

*Spoilers Ahead*
Some angst, some flirting, and some humour—what more can a girl need! After the heavy flashbacks I wanted to return to something a bit more light-hearted. Of course, without ignoring what happened entirely. This episode is basically Valtor having a mental breakdown, haha.
I read a comment on Webtoon that said, "Isn't what Valtor is doing to Bloom the exact same as what Avalon did?" And in a way, absolutely! That's why this episode was created.
Valtor reflects on the similarities between him and Avalon; despite being in different situations, he can't help but feel like he's not any better than the depraved man, and guilt is actively eating away at him. While he never assaulted Bloom or had impure intentions to the extent that Avalon had, he is still noticing the similarities and reflecting on them.
I believe this reflection is very important before their relationship can develop to the next level!
I enjoy a good dark romance, don't get me wrong, but in ETI I wanted to take a different path. A path where Valtor does not want to force Bloom into anything, where he is obsessed over her but ultimately leaves the decision to be with him up to her. Although he for sure is not above swaying that opinion in his favour.🙈
After hearing about Bloom's suffering, he has a newfound respect for her. His whole image about her is starting to shift. The plan to kill her suddenly doesn't seem as satisfying as it used to. Killing Bloom and betraying her is beginning to sound less like an option. A knot twists inside his stomach every time he thinks about manipulating her like that. So it is in this moment that he decided that the plan is off. How he's going to explain this to the Trix... we'll have to see. 😆
Now that we got the serious stuff out of the way, I thought it was high time for some good banter between these two again. Them fighting, but not really, is my favourite! I just know Valtor loves riling her up just to see her get mad, as he finds it so adorable. 🥹
We also go all the way back to season 1 episodes 6 and 7, and Bloom finally finds out the mark he left her with was in fact an accident. 😆 I dislike when authors don't bring up things from the past ever again, so I purposely try to do it as often as I can. Showing that everything that I wrote does in fact have a purpose! In this case, the previous incident even further discouraging Bloom from allowing Valtor to mark her.
Will she eventually take his mark or not? A lot of trust will need to be built before Bloom will ever allow something that... intimate. Let me know your theories in the comments! 👀
