"Good grief, this is dull," the text-to-speech function intones. "Surely Titty-ris would be a better use of your time."

"Tetris," Eliza corrects again, although she's sure the demon is only getting it wrong to annoy her. "And no, actually -- these grades get uploaded, like, immediately, so if I don't finish it tonight I'm in big trouble."

"The type of 'trouble' that might involve Beatrice's trusty friend Aunty Hairbrush?"

Eliza's face flushes brightly, and she bites her lip.
