"Oh my god -- first thing I wanna do after I take an actual shower is find that thermometer and throw it into the ocean," Elizabeth declares, wincing at the memory of her temperature being taken and rubbing the tender space between her round cheeks.

"I'd say to stick it up her butt, but Amanda already did that," Daphne says.

"What was the reading, by the way?" Bella asks mildly.

Grayce snorts. "It just said, NERD."

Everyone laughs...except for Amanda, who takes a long drink.

"Whassamatter, Red?" Grayce says. "Having regrets?"

"Oh, it's not that," Amanda says. "No, she definitely deserved it...but I'd be careful how much you tease Fiona...after all, next week is her bye week."

That makes the gathering around the kitchen table suddenly very quiet...
