As much as it sounds, I had my first chance to apply my artistic skills to real work.
Well, that wasn't too exciting - I had to update a whole background room for the ongoing scene in progress - otherwise it did not look good in the current game scene window, missing huge chunks of background on the left and right (last image).
To cut a long story short - I either had to expand the background or do a weird zoom on the scene, basically cutting one of the characters out of the screen. So I decided to test my skills and take an -ahem- an easy task first. That took me yesterday evening and half an hour today.
I'm pretty much satisfied with the result, and this whole story is pretty much why I've restarted drawing in the first place - this skill lets me feel stability and understanding of what kind of stuff I can do without asking other artists to draw. Small step for a project, but a big step for me personally.
Hahaha, my next real task will be redrawing Arnie's penis in one of the scenes to make it look better :D
