Wow. I am genuinely impressed by this one. Sure, it shows all the signs of something early in development but the foundation and intent is there and that's the part that's promising. It doesn't hurt at all that the creator of the novels is also working on it to keep the project true to the source. Let's just hope it gets finished someday because if it does.. ooooooooof.
