[Daily Logs] Day 01
DESCRIPTION

Hello Bois,

As I mentioned earlier, one of my major challenges has been communication. I hinted that I had a solution in mind, which I can now reveal since the release of v0.30. The answer to this challenge is daily logs. Moving forward, I’ll do my best to provide daily updates on the development of the next release of Affexon.

Some future versions of Affexon are already partially developed, with the primary task remaining being dialogue writing. These logs include notes I made during the development process of those upcoming updates. Once my writer provides the dialogues, I’ll also include the time taken for their completion and the subsequent implementation and coding into the game.

Day 01:

BrainStorming

Planned camera angles, character poses, and background/environment ideas for scenes to create.

 Scenes Setup : 1 (3 characters)

Scene setup is the most time-consuming task and can limit the number of scenes created each day. This process involves:

Searching for and testing assets required for a particular scene or group of scenes.

Deciding on the environment (e.g., kitchen, Sofia's apartment, supermarket). If an environment hasn’t been previously set up or saved in my library, I must search for and test various options until I find one that fits my vision.

Configuring new environments, if necessary, which can be time-intensive.

This process extends beyond environments to include assets like clothing or skin effects (e.g., blood or dirt for action sequences). Finding, testing, and setting up these elements to align with my vision adds further time to the process.

Other tasks include placing characters in the scene, determining their interactions with the environment, choosing the ideal spot for the scene, and adjusting lighting.

Scenes Created : 3

Posed characters, tested different camera angles, and adjusted lighting setups.

The time needed for scene creation increases with the number of characters, as each requires posing, expressions, lighting adjustments, and clothing setup.

DForce Usage in Scenes: 3 Simulations - [2(Jane)+1(Mrs. Thompson)]

dForce simulations are used for assets like hair or clothing based on the scene and the character’s outfit. For multiple characters, separate simulations are run for each asset.

Characters with large breasts often require dForce to make clothing appear natural, which is a time-consuming process(comparisons provided below). Unfortunately, DAZ cannot be used for anything else during simulations.

I’ve also used dForce for hair, though primarily in specific animated or still scenes.

dForce simulations for a single asset (hair, clothing, etc.) can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours.

I'm committed to maintaining these daily logs to keep you updated on Affexon's development progress. While English isn't my native language, I strive to provide clear and detailed information about our development process.

Regards,NaughtyDeveloper

Now that we've reached the end, which one do you prefer?
