This release is another theme voted for by our subscribers in our last Theme Poll back in June, coming in 2nd place. It's Part II of our latest saga, The Red Autumn, and moves to a new region in Tharador's north, one with clear Viking and Pagan mythos inspirations. Trying to weave Norse mythology into the lore of Tharador while retaining originality was difficult, but I feel pretty happy with how we pulled it off.
All in all, there's 20 models, including two Huge sized creatures: the Fire Jotunn and the Frost Horned Beast.
The campaign for the month takes place after the Crimson Masquerade, with our adventure party being sent on what seems to be a more straightforward mission: kill a Fire Jotunn before it awakens a long dormant volcano that will cover the land in ash and fire. Though after they complete their quest, the difficulty lies in getting home, as the land of Nordheim will not let them leave.
The month's terrain is the Bloodied Cairn, an ancient ritual site steeped in deep and dark magic. This is a set piece intended for FDM printing as always, but resin printers are welcome to give it a crack! It's a modular piece intended for you to use in your own campaigns as you please, and create your own ritual site, though we include the battle map for it in the month's campaign too!
