20/06/26: Hey guys! โค๏ธ The second version of Possession is now here!
This one has been a nightmare to bug-fix, but is now significantly more stable, main bugs have been fixed, + some new features! :)
๐ป UPDATE V1.1:
Fixed enemies increasingly spawning in with no grab 'handles'!
Significantly improved stability (less getting stuck in bodies, invisible hands, crashing etc.)
You can now MANUALLY return to your body! (๐ฎ: briefly hold grip, trigger, + spell wheel button!)
Added mod option to choose what happens to your original body while possessing! (Vulnerable vs Invisible)
^ For the invisible/spirit mode, when leaving the body, it will also spawn you directly behind the enemy you were just possessing, rather than at your original location!
Added new audio!
โจ FUTURE IDEAS:
A way to kill the enemy or knock them unconscious when manually returning
Eerie sound FXs that play whilst you're in the possessed body
A camera transition or player dissolve upon possessing?
The 'possession' ability allows you to take over an enemy's body, fight as them, or make them kill themself, using their own body!
๐ฎ: Possess enemies by grabbing them, and then holding Trigger for a few seconds! (can enable/disable in the mod options!)
After possessing an enemy, self-collision also turns on, meaning you're free to bash your own head with a mace, or stick an axe into your own arm! This is important, because to revert back to your own body, you must either manually return (hold grip, trigger, + spell wheel) OR die/kill yourself in the npc's body!
๐ DISCLAIMER:
Please be aware that this mod is a work-in-progress, and you might still encounter some bugs! As a tip, always try and keep your original body alive, and always try to return to it before saving/quitting your game. Otherwise, you might risk getting stuck as the npc and potentially having to create a new character!
