I think the only reason Edwin would ever have the courage/desire to actually perform with a band is because it’s either a favor to Portia (they play at the pub for beer every week type thing) or because she promised to make it worth it. He’d prefer to keep his hobby a hobby so it never goes anywhere outside small town events, but Portia gets off on it.
