Several leafcutter ants are moving heart-shaped and glitter-shaped leaves. Freshwater shrimp are joining the march. I drew it with a cozy yet cheerful atmosphere in mind.

An ant with poor skills

Some ants probably weren't good at making heart shapes.

Some ants must have practiced a lot to cut them nicely.

And as much as I like drawing happy animals, somehow I also like drawing crying animals... 😎

The original line was "Everyone is awesome except me," but I thought it sounded too gloomy, so I deleted it and changed it to "Nooo."

I just wanted to draw lots of small animals.. And ants are a perfect fit. I feel like I've been wanting to do a lot of doodles like this this year. And I added a little fantasy. Little shrimps...

Before I finished the drawing, during the sketching stage, I checked how they would look on my phone. They had to be small enough, but not so small that they wouldn't be recognized! They might not show up on Instagram's main feed, but they'll be perfectly visible but still small on other sites.

I originally drew shadows, too. I drew them in heart shapes.

In the final stages, I removed most of the shadows.

I thought it looked too complicated. I still kept the shadows of the ants clinging to the back of the leaves.

This is another bug drawing I did recently. In the first rought sketch, there was a small spider decoration on the umbrella... but I deleted it in the end because I thought it didn't fit the concept. Moths are definitely afraid of spiders lol. If it had been a gothic lolita style.. Spider is kind of skull-like feel, so it would have been okay, but since the atmosphere of the drawing was inspired by sweet lolita, I thought it didn't fit.
