I’ve drawn a few types of snakes so far, and the corn snake gives the impression of having very large, round eyes.

Since this snake has a gentle personality and is harmless, I’m going to draw it to look as sweet as possible. I really love their innocent impression.

Some snake drawings I did last year! It was the Year of the Snake.

Snakes are long and slender animals. I felt that the ball pythons I drew before were plump snakes, but corn snakes are thin, so they feel longer.

Since they are commonly kept as pets, there is a lot of information available. Their defensive poses are quite famous. I heard they are in a very stressed state, but honestly, it looked so cute that I just had to try sketching it once😂

It takes about 3 to 4 years to fully grow, and baby snakes are really cute because they are small and thin like noodles with big heads. I have seen so many pictures of baby snakes...Depending on the type of morph, the coloration or pattern may change as the baby grows.

Corn snakes have a really wide variety of morphs, but since I can't draw them all, I'll select a few to draw. I will try to include the creamsicle and palmetto morphs that were recommended last time, if possible.

I tried to minimize negative space.

I wanted to give it an elongated yet rounded feel.

From here on, these are drawings where I paid attention to making the curves beautiful while ensuring the shapes didn't become too complex.

I do pay attention to this part when drawing everything, but snakes... oh... seriously, they are so difficult 😂 Snakes have a really simple appearance, but they are muscular, flexible, and dynamic animals. I wish I could express this better.

I'm a little worried that the snake in the drawing might look uncomfortable. 😂

I referenced baby snakes a lot for this drawing, and I heard that baby snakes tend to adopt more tense poses compared to adults.

When a snake is tense, it forms an S-shape and a tight coil, while when it is relaxed, it forms a loose coil. However, since I have never raised a snake, I didn't have a precise sense of what a loose coil feels like. So, I also searched for photos of snakes soaking in water bowls...

When drawing elongated animals, I always struggle with deciding how long to make them. I drew it a little longer than the previous snake art, but it is actually much shorter than a real animal.

I drew referring to the video, and their neck movements are really smooth.

I'm going to draw the mouth to look small, but honestly, I really like how it looks when it's wide open.

I guess I'll have to look into which morphs to draw in the end.

I'm thinking of drawing about 10 to 15 types in mind, but there are so many cool morphs that I might end up drawing more.
