I finished the sketches I shared at the end of the post above!
I had already drawn two flower arts... So I was thinking of drawing them next spring. But honestly, I know I rarely finish doodles I've just passed on like this π because by the time that time comes, I'll have new ideas to draw again!
And the scenery I saw on the street was also a good motivation.
It rained here, so there were a lot of flower petals scattered on the ground.
Cherry blossom petals that have fallen into the puddles on the roadside ripple whenever people walk...πΈ
There are raindrops on the petals.
"Cherry Blossom Shrimp" is about flower petals falling on the water, these photos served as a good reference!
When petals fall, green leaves grow. The fresh green of these new sprouts is truly beautiful. And there are still strong flowers as well. That is why I like cherry trees at this time π±
It was a rainy and gloomy day, so the lighting made the photo look a bit dull, but I felt it was a very pretty and refreshing green. I created a color palette from images like these. I choose colors by recalling the images I felt. I do not use the eyedropper tool when creating color palettes. (How to choose colors / 2018)
So, the colors I came up with have this kind of feel. I'll use this color combination for an isopod drawing.
In the case of Cherry Blossom Shrimp, I worked on it with wallpaper resolution in mind from the very beginning.
I tested it on my phone, and it looks great with the Glass UI :)
(I'll update the wallpaper post soon! )
Now, let me show you the process of these two drawings~
πΈ Cherry blossom shrimp
Oh, by the way, the shrimp featured here are cherry shrimp!
It is a real freshwater shrimp. (Neocaridina davidi)
It is one of the animals I draw so often that I almost forgot to introduce it.
I had a shrimp tank a long time ago and raised them; when fully grown, they will be about 1 to 1.5 inches (4 cm).
I've often imagined shrimp swimming freely in the air on land, so I frequently draw them on land. It would be troublesome if they actually came out of the water, though π In my imagination, shrimp can go anywhere and fly anywhere.

I worked with these guidelines!
Since screen resolution varies by device model, I cannot create a wallpaper that is 100% perfect for every device; however, if I keep the center safeline in mind while working, I can produce a wallpaper that is roughly suitable for iPhone, iPad, and Android :D
The same applies when creating Galaxy themes; since there are over 100 different Galaxy models alone, we take this into account during the design process. Occasionally, background images may have too much or too little whitespace; this happens because we are adhering to standards. Come to think of it, I remember panicking on the day the Galaxy Flip and Galaxy Fold were released because the image resolutions that needed to be applied had completely changed π
πΈ Cherry blossom isopod
Cubaris sp. cherry blossom and pink panda king :D
In this picture, some isopods curl their bodies into a ball to mimic flowers-(They don't actually behave like that in nature; it's just my imagination!)- , and some others are decorated with little flowers. To me, this isopod gives off a vibe like strawberry milk jelly beans...π In this case, I tried to capture the feeling of being cute and pretty, like a cherry blossom flower.

I changed the proportion of green a bit from the color palette I initially chose.
And I added a little pastel blue that wasn't planned. (Small sparkles in the background and the legs of the isopod are pastel blue.) I still like the light green, but I liked the soft feeling of pink a little more.
A series of four works themed around cherry blossoms and arthropods has been completed πΈ
Although they are all pink, they were finished with slightly different color combinations :D
