I'm going to draw the corn snake that won the vote! Really soon!
But I think some of you might be wondering why I'm suddenly drawing a different snake. It's just because of my stream of consciousness 😂
That's because about a month ago, while I was practicing drawing snake faces, I thought I should make a comparison with another snake.
This is a sketch that was revealed in a previous summary post!
Hognose's face is seriously so funny 😂
While searching for reference materials, I came across photos and videos of Albino Nelson's milk snake, and as soon as I saw them, strawberry milk came to mind :D This is a case where I finished the drawing exactly as I had done a rough sketch because I liked it.
I like fruits, so I have drawn a lot of pictures related to them over the years.
I think I drew a frog and strawberry milk around this time in 2019.
Golden poison lemon sherbet WIP
Personally, I really love fruit-based drinks and desserts, so I had a strawberry frappuccino just recently, and I happen to have a photo of it. (These days, when I meet up with friends, we bring our favorite plushies to take photos)
The following is a GIF - the work process.
The snake's scales are depicted like the 💧 pattern of a strawberry.
The 💧 shape inside the strawberry is actually not a seed, but the strawberry's true fruit. If you cut it open, a seed comes out inside.
I added 💧 shapes like this. I also modified the text a little.
I tried changing it to a slightly darker color at the end, and while the snake and milk are more visible, I thought the original color had a softer feel, so I decided not to change it and kept it!
To provide two versions of the wallpaper, I also created a darker background.
In the dark version, I changed the color of the strawberries in the background.
To make this kind of editing easier, most of my work has separate layers!
This one has fewer layers than most of my drawings. Sometimes I feel the urge to merge everything 😂 There are so many layers that sometimes I have to click and blink through every single eye icon to find the layer I want lol.
Here is another stream-of-consciousness doodle.
