There's no denying the ability of PE to stop threats aramid can't and that's exactly what this US made shell from HHV did. However severe degradation occurred in this shell after the 44 mag shot, and that's the primary motivation for continued use of it for helmets. 5.7 threats were stopped though from the pistol, so that's a plus. I will still hold the opinion that helmets are bump, frag, accessory mounting first, and threat stoppages are a side benefit. I see Highcom sells a III helmet at almost 3K. I'd be interested in seeing how that actually holds M80 ball, but I'm guessing they just don't send those out pro bono. This was all made possible by Nick's Night Vision
