I'm already being asked by CT when the video is coming out..
4 plates came from followers, and 6 were sent by Chase Tactical. 1 was dropped with no protection, and inspected for damage. I don't see any superficial damage, but need an X-ray. Anyone got a friend who could X-ray the plate?
Plate 10 was dropped with the addition of a drop face foam sheet I got from a vendor.
Results speak for themselves. These plates will not take multi-shot AP threats, but will take lesser threats as well as older design Level IV plates can. If you want some confidence in them for rough handling, definitely add a sheet of foam or yoga mat to the front, as I don't think a competing vendor will sell the foam..
Going forward having more plates = more data, but when the situation arises with only 1-2 plates, and they are not 06 drop rated, we probably will only drop test one of them.
