This ended up being longer than the first cut by about 10 minutes with the addition of the 4th plate.
Overall notes is that the only performance change was the ability to stop the 2 rounds of 338 Swiss P AP, but all 3 rounds of the XM1186 GP penetrated. M80A1 is a HARD limit of 2800 fps which is achievable out of at least a 14.5" barrel. Considering the 1092's thinner strike face not stopping it, This strike face composition and thickness are better, but being budget built, RMA did not laminate both sides of the plate. Their 10x12" shooter's cut is playing into the nominal sizing a bit, but it's actually OVER sized given the listed measurements, so no complaints there. I'm guessing the backing material is cheaper than UHMWPE with a benefit of less BFD, but I wonder how a plate with this strike face, laminated on both sides, adhered using the adhesives Tacticon, Tac 11 or Stealth Armor uses, and a UHMWPE backer would fair. I've been behind on editing armor videos. I still owe you all the Adept, and Stealth Armor Systems, plate, plus some cool stuff from Turtle Armoring Solutions.
