This started after a FocusTripp video of the guys from TA and their CAT 7 Clone offerings. Deacan wanted some for his various safety kits, and wanted to know why he should spend the $$ on the real thing.
This of course is for entertainment only, but we figured we'd leave these guys out in the weather for 1 year for a maximum worst case scenario. To my surpise, even the cheap Tacticon and Amazon specials served their purpose, but you could tell the windlass plastic material was more flexible. Larry the log is a lot less squishy than an arm or a leg, so it may never get to that point, but the NAR CAT 7's overall held up better IMO.
I feel that given the live saving nature of these for the accepted cost of the genuine CAT 7, just spend the $35 per. If you want to train with some, I feel the cheaper alternatives would suffice if you set them up the same way :D
