Another follower alerted me to this hybrid plate. Steel and Titanium. It's rated for M80A1, but the specs don't mention actual coverage against M855A1. The M80A1 velocity is lower at 2,800 fps. I'm curious why the lab has picked that velocity when 3,000 is fairly common from 20" barrels+.
What baffles me is the system weight. 8.4 lb base coat, 8.65lb build up. It says it's curved, but not sure if multi-curve. at 8.65lb level IV plates are on the market at that weight or less with better threat coverage.
