I keep telling myself to stop reviewing scopes, and yet here I am. I was very pleased with the overall package on this Day/Night scope especially with the IR illuminator and range finder. Image had good clarity and being an all in one unit is appreciated as it only weighs 17 oz. The gen 2 fixed the small magnification wheel, and DNT now offers various mounts and risers if you want this on an AR. A unit like this would be useful for detecting IR light/lasers at night.
An improvement over the previous clip on digital night vision products we tested about 3 yrs ago. I did overstay the review terms on this by about 6 months, but life got in the way, and I always feel bad when I'm out shooting at 10-11PM at night, so I tend to hold off on doing that until the time change and go out earlier in the winter.
