DESCRIPTION

Some spoilers for Expedition 33 below. I wholeheartedly recommend this game so if you haven't, please go play it. It's a once in a lifetime experience.

[How to All Hit Expedition 33]

So far I've done 1 full regular run, 1 all hit test run on expedition difficulty, 1 all hit test run on expert, and now in the process of recording the all hit expert run. This has been a really fun experiment on applying the videogame research process to games other than the usual souls franchise.

The goal of this runs is obviously not using any dodge/parry/jump/gradiant counter, but also minimizing the amount of farming. To that end I've tried various team compositions and landed on Maelle/Sciel/Lune combo for the excellent sustain.

Basic premise is:

  • Sciel + Lune : Full party heal + Shell/Powerful/and especially Rush (Party gets more turns)

  • Lune : Slow (Enemy gets less turns)

  • Sciel : Delaying Slash (Enemy turn gets pushed back), Doom for Slow/Powerless/Defenseless (Enemy gets less turns, deal less damage, take more damage), Intervention (Switch turn to any ally)

  • Maelle : Tactical Nuke

By prioritizing turn manipulation and speed, ideally the enemy will get their turn after 10+ ally turns in a build which I dubbed : Tomorrow never comes

This has it's drawbacks too as the 9999 damage cap means that near the end of act 2, the team comp will lose the total DPS to a comp that uses a machine gun Dualiso Verso or bonk Monoco (which is a real problem with Renoir), but I've been able to (barely) solve that with elemental genesis.

Currently finished recording til the end of Act 2, and in Act 3 I'll try to diversify as a lot of options like stunlock Verso, immortal Verso, shield Maelle to showcase the various all hit builds.

Thank you for your support!
