Notes on the contents of this pack:
This Highlight contains the first part of Chapter 8-Death (and Love) in a Gondola
Continuation of the Chapter 8 in the next Highlight !
1-The chapter on Venice is particularly dense. It combines 2 scenarios and visits many existing and famous places. I'll try to do it in 2 highlights, but it'll probably take 3. In any case, it's one of the best chapters of the campaign, and will always be worthwhile!
2-Station Platform-Venezia provides the first scene of the chapter, where you witness the confrontation between Maria and her 2 suitors Alberto Rossini and Georgio Gasparetti. As the scene takes place on the platform, it's obvious to your investigators.
3-We recommend that you stay at the Gritti Palace, which overlooks both the Grand Canal and a pedestrian street, with a room overlooking the latter. This will come in handy when interacting with outdoor nightlife events.
4-The Biblioteca Marciana is the library where you might find the most clues about the Sedefkar statue's parts. It's reproduced from photos.
5-the small Polizia station map, should be used frequently here, as investigators have their hands full with the corrupt militia. If ever there was a time for investigators to end up in jail, it's in this scenario!
6-Maria Stagliani's House is currently a place of retreat, as her father recently passed away. To wit, the mansion will be besieged by Alberto Rossini seeking to marry Maria by force. This may lead to fights and chases in the neighborhood's alleyways.
7-The San Michelle cemetery has a very special atmosphere, being a small rectangular island in the middle of the Grand Canal, separated from the rest of Venice. This is where Maria's father will be buried.
Please note that most of these maps can also be used in many other scenarios created by you, or in other official scenarios with a little adaptation.
