Hey all, just making an update post to keep things up to date!
I'll kick off with the worst bit.
The animation is larger and longer than previously expected in the storyboards. Even as I'm finishing the rough cut, I wouldn't feel comfortable saying it will be done by the end of June. I will still be posting updates/ keeping things updated here, so we can all stay on the same page. But it's just too much work for one person, and I've been trying to get animators/ clean up artists to come give me a hand. It's been a tiring process... At this rate, I can't see this being done before July or August. It's just that much work. I'll continue to look for more people to help, and if you have any animators/artists that have worked in animation, please direct me to them. Thank you.
That being out of the way. The animation that is done is looking really good. Everything else is really coming together nicely. I marked off some scenes on my checklist the other day and noticed that I was more than halfway through the roughing/inking process. It's a nice milestone because I've been working on the slowest/hardest shots. So this month will be focusing on knocking out the remainder, which I've reviewed to be shorter/repeating shots. They'll be very welcome after all this big shot work.
Anyway. Wanted to give a heads up so that people who don't want to wait can know ahead of time. Anyone who chooses to stay, I greatly appreciate it. You make the animation come out faster.
