A vacuous shield that thrums with a buzzing that waxes and wanes. You gain a +1 bonus to your AC while holding this shield.
Kick the Hive. When a creature hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to unleash a 5-foot emanation of angry bees from within this shield. The emanation is centered on the attacker for up to 1 minute. For the duration, the attacker and each creature of your choice within the emanation takes 2d4 piercing damage at the start of each of their turns and has disadvantage on attack rolls. If the creature emanating the swarm drops to 0 hit points before the duration ends, you can use your reaction to direct the swarm to a different creature you can see within 15 feet of the original target. If you choose not to, or if the duration ends, the swarm vanishes.
Once you use this property, you cannot do so again until the next dawn.
