My nobles,
Thank you all for your continued support. Your encouragement lets me fully immerse myself in the joy of game development.
It’s been a while since a new main character arrived in town. The past few updates have focused heavily on expanding farm gameplay, but I know many of you are eager to meet fresh faces too.
Your interests guide this project. Whether you want new and unique characters, a more racially diverse town, or deeper gameplay systems— I’ll always follow what excites you most.
So, without further ado, here are the options for what the rest of January will focus on. (Development may exceed February 1st.)
If I missed any character suggestions, feel free to let me know. I can restart the poll before development begins.
Also, the next update will be released within a few hours.
⛩️ Hayami
Race: Fox / Yokai (Half-Blood)Title: The Shrine Maiden of RegretHayami is a quiet, self-disciplined half-yokai born of an exorcist father and a powerful nine-tailed fox spirit. Trained from a young age to suppress her monstrous side, she lived by her father’s teachings: “Protect the innocent. Restrain the inner beast.”But after his death, the burden of duty became unbearable. Haunted by her nature — a carnal, soul-devouring hunger — she fled her shrine and disappeared for over a century, seeking inner peace as an outcast. When she finally returned, her sacred village had already been wiped from history — its cause unknown: famine, war… or perhaps her own kind.To this day, she lives in isolation, punishing herself in silence, praying for those long gone. But what if someone could help her see redemption, not as a punishment— but a path to connection?Additional Garment: Japanese Shrine Maiden Attire Set (Mediocre exposed design, but very cultural.)
♗ Amile
Race: LupineTitle: Broken BishopAmile is a mysterious, haunting figure — a former bishop who once led a powerful religious order that promised salvation through divine rites... but instead brought only ruin.
She appears first in a dream: blindfolded, kneeling in a long-dead church, whispering prayers to a god who no longer answers. Her body is no longer fully human — warped into a lupine form, regal yet sorrowful, as if shaped by divine punishment or a monstrous miracle. She never speaks clearly of her past, only recites half-prayers, broken hymns, and fragmented thoughts. But her presence lingers — dream after dream, she returns. And slowly, the player begins to uncover the truth.
Background: Once a devout leader, Amile now wanders the ruins of faith, her mind bound by guilt and ritual.Trapped in an endless dream — or perhaps a purgatory of her own making — she prays not to be forgiven… but to be forgotten.conceptBloodborne-inspired character concept — Amile, the blindfolded bishop. A regal wolf-like woman twisted by belief, now trapped in a dream, praying to a god who never answered. She hides her face behind a blindfold, refusing to see what she’s become. She often mistakes the player for a divine messenger, a lost follower, or a voice of her own sins. Her arc is centered around redemption, psychological healing in the face of spiritual collapse.Additional Garment: Nun outfit, but tattered, so most of her body is barely covered with bandages, and an iconic blindfold (Super exposed design, no other NPCs will want to wear her clothes.)

Title: Digital Pet
A mysterious entity born in a digital world of 0s and 1s. She isn’t alive by biological standards—yet flesh and bone aren’t the only vessels capable of hosting consciousness.
You don’t truly know what she is, and she can’t fully comprehend what you are either.
You try to convince yourself she’s just a kind of screen pet, driven by an exceptionally advanced AI. But her answers are often clumsy, vague, or outright wrong. You thought you were bad at math—somehow, she manages to fall even lower than your expectations.
Still, something about her feels… off.
Perhaps, given enough time, you’ll uncover the truth behind her origin.
========================================================================
Character introduction:
Hayami:
"Hey, you up for a dare?"
"Huh? You want PvP again? I'm totally down—loser buys lunch?"
"Nah, we're not playing video games this time. I'm thinking something more... active. There’s an abandoned shrine out in the woods. Word is, it’s haunted. Could be a fun little adventure."
"Nope. Nope. Nope. I’m not going anywhere near a ghost house. Did you learn nothing from horror movies? The main character never makes it out, and if they do, they’re practically cursed for life. Not worth it, bro."
"Oh, coward! Fine—how about this: I give you 100 bucks if you can survive a night in there?"
"You think I was born yesterday? Make it 200. I’ve got new games on my wishlist, and ghost trauma isn’t cheap."
Knowing I finally baited her into my not-so-scary idea, we pack up and hit the road— After a few hours of driving, swapping dumb ghost stories to boost our confidence, we finally reach the shrine.
And yeah… it’s exactly the kind of place that makes you question all your life decisions.
Before we step into the shrine, Reefan tugs at my shirt.
"Hey, can we like… hold hands? I’m not scared, okay?! Just want to make sure we don’t get separated when shit hits the fan."
"Alright, alright. Take my hand, scaredy-dragon. Clearly I’m the only adult here~"
"Idiot. Just get inside already. Jeez, it’s freezing out here."
We push open the weather-worn doors and step into the shrine. Our hands are locked glue-tight—neither of us willing to admit it’s kind of comforting. Didn’t take long to find a spot that looked dry and clean enough. We unpack our camping gear and settle in.
"Bro… not to kill the vibe, but… the place is kinda tidy. Like someone’s still living here. Maybe we shouldn’t mess with anything."
"Really? We’re already here, and now you want to bail?"
"Grghh… fine!"
"Wait—why are you lighting candles?! Aren’t we supposed to be sleeping?"
"Oh, didn’t I mention? We’re also gonna, like… conjure an entity or something."
"THE HELL?! You didn’t say a damn word about starting a cult tonight!!"
"Relax! Those ghost stories aren’t real. And once everyone hears about this? We’ll be the coolest kids at school."
"I... I'm not sure. Not saying I’m superstitious or anything, but—
I think there’s a line we really shouldn’t cross."
"Yeah, yeah. Just grab your phone and record, let me handle the spooky stuff."
"Fine. But I better be in the video next. I want people to know I was part of this glory."
"Deal. Now let’s see… what was that incantation again? Abra-Aaada-Abracadabra?"
"Seriously, bro? Do you even hear yourself right now?"
"Hey, let me do my job, okay?"
"K—whatever."
I start improvising, chanting random nonsense like it actually means something. Truth is, I just want to scare the hell out of Reefan. That’s the whole point of this trip, really.
"Alpha… Beta… Omega… meh, something-something darkness... spirits arise..."
"Bro, this is getting awkward. Wait—hold up! I swear my camera just glitched. Static. Shit, maybe you should stop—"
"Ha! Nice try. You almost got me. What, trying to prank the prankster now?"
I keep chanting, grinning to myself. Can’t believe she’s buying into it.
"Ahh... ahh... Bro... I'm not messing with you. My phone—it's full static. I swear. Please stop!!"
"Really? Show me."
She shoves the screen in front of my face. She’s not lying. The feed is pure distortion.
"...Oh no."
The moment I utter the last word of my improvised chant—
FWOOSH.
Every candle extinguishes at once. Darkness swallows the shrine.
Reefan yelps and practically tackles me, latching onto my arm like her life depends on it.
"Bro!! This whole trip was a dumb idea—now we’re gonna die! Please tell me this is part of your prank!"
"I... I... I wish I could say that... but it’s not!!"
"Shit!! We’re going to die. I want you to know—I love you, but I fucking hate you right now!!"
"...Whaaa?"
"Ahh... I’m really sorry, Reefan!! I didn’t mean to drag you into this nightmare!!"
She was shaking in my arms, then her grip went limp.
"Reefan? Oh holy shit—don’t pass out on me! You just confessed, and now you’re pulling this stunt?! Get a hold of yourself!!"
Suddenly, her body jerks—violent and unnatural—like a puppet caught in invisible strings. She stiffens, her face turning toward me… too slowly. Uncannily slow.
Her eyes… they’re no longer hers. The brightness is gone. What’s left is pitch-black. Empty. Soulless.
"Reefan!! She lunges—grabbing my throat with one hand, strength far beyond her own. Slamming me hard into the shrine wall. My breath cuts off. I struggle.
Then, in a voice that’s not hers—she speaks:
"Ahh... flesh..."
"I–I can’t… b-breathe... W-what are you... Reefan!!"
Then, the next second—her face closes in. Her lips peel back, exposing sharp, draconic fangs, aimed straight for my cheek like she’s about to rip off my face.
And my worst fear becomes real. She’s actually trying to eat me—!
Just as her jaw opens—
“Enough. Leave the girl, filth of the under-realms. This vessel is not yours to claim.”
Reefan freezes. Her body shudders violently before she drops me to the floor like dead weight. She slowly turns toward the voice behind us—toward whoever just spoke. Her head twitches. Then, the entity inside her snarls:
“Traitor… DIEEEEEE!!”
The possessed Reefan lunges at the fox girl, her limbs moving with the wild, erratic force of a beast— But just before impact, her body locks in place. Frozen mid-attack.
“You know your power holds no sway in this sacred place… and yet you yearn for the living like a moth to flame.”
“Return to emptiness, foul beast!”
With one fluid motion, she presses a talisman onto Reefan’s forehead.
The entity inside lashes out one last curse:
“DAMN YOU! WE WILL NEVER… stop… until you lose… every… thing...”
Then, in a surge of black mist and shrieking echoes, the evil spirit is ripped from Reefan’s body and dissipates. Her body collapses to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut.
“Reefan!”
“She’s unharmed—just unconscious. You should be grateful it didn’t go deeper. Now tell me, youngling—what are you doing here? This place was never meant to be found... and never meant to be visited.”
“We were just on a dare trip... Who are you? And what the hell was that thing?”
“...Nobody.”
She turns away, voice distant.
“You may stay until dawn. Then leave with your friend. Yokai are less active during daylight.”
“How am I supposed to forget all this? At least let me know your name—so I can find you again.”
“Don’t. You’ve seen the danger. That’s enough. If there are others like you... stop them.”
“...Alright. But... can I at least know your name?”
“Hayami.”
With nothing more, she turns and walks away—disappearing into the silence of the shrine. The next morning, I drag Reefan back to the car and drive away at light speed. As for her? The one who slept through half the nightmare? She remembers nothing.
Amile:
"Ahh... where am I?"
You glance around, the air reeks— not just of age, but of old blood and damp stone.
It’s the kind of place you’d expect to see in a horror game... But the way the scent clings to your throat, the pressure behind your eyes— This is too real.
Then you notice her. A towering figure kneeling before a blackened altar.
Monstrous, but unmistakably feminine— bandaged arms, furred limbs, wrapped in a tattered nun’s garb. Her face is hidden behind a blindfold, her head bowed in prayer.
Her voice escapes in broken hymns— chanted fragments of a language you don’t recognize. Nonsense...
You hesitate, but doing nothing feels worse than doing something. Swallowing your nerves, you take a cautious step forward.
"Hello? I’m a little lost… I mean, I’m really lost. Do you—uh—do you know where this is?"
As you draw closer, you realize the praying figure isn’t just tall, she’s immense. To her, you’re the size of a toddler staring up at an adult.
Her presence alone freezes your body in place. Your legs won’t move— You pray that your voice didn’t carry all the way to the altar. But it’s too late. The figure turns.
Slowly, unnaturally — her blindfolded head tilting in your direction. Her face is mostly hidden, but not her grinding teeth... nor the threads of saliva stretching between them.
This isn’t a greeting. It’s a warning. You realize in that moment: Even if she spares your life, you might still die of rabies.
You try to remember that survival show tip— “make yourself big, don’t panic, don’t run.” Sure. Great advice. But when the "predator" is larger than an elephant with teeth like broken glass? Yeah. Time to RUN.
"WAAAHHH— GET AWAY FROM ME!!"
You sprint. Or try to. But her shadow swallows you whole. One of her hands moves — it was already above you before you even blinked.
The last thing you see is the altar behind her...
And then— Black.
"WOOOAAHHH!! Hahh... oh shiiit..."
You sit up, heart jackhammering in your chest, soaked in sweat.
"...Oh? It was just a dream...? Okay... maybe I should stop playing Soulslikes before bed... and stick to dating sims. At least in those dreams, I might get hit by a different kind of monster..."
Second loop:
"Oh hell no. Not again!! This is a dream, right?"
You slap yourself. Hard.
"AWOOCH—!"
The sting burns.
"...Okay— how the hell can a dream hurt?"
You look around. Same ruined buildings. Same iron scent. Same altar in the distance. She’s there again. Still praying.
But— She doesn’t notice you this time.
"Alright. I'm leaving. Anywhere’s better than this nonsense."
You turn and look for an exit. But the path behind you is now blocked by thick, pulsing mist. It isn't fog. It's solid. You press your hand against it. It won’t budge.
"...This. Is. TOO. FAMILIAR."
You spin back toward the altar.
"Seriously? I don't even have a weapon. What am I supposed to do now— throw hands with a nightmare nun?!"
With no better plan and a growing sense of "screw it", you walk toward the monstrous nun. She doesn’t react— completely absorbed in her prayer. You raise your hand.
“Alright, let’s see how YOU like a backstab!”
You slam your fist into her back with everything you’ve got.
Pow~
She stops. Slowly… she turns. Same blindfold. Same teeth.
But this time, she looks pissed. And then— a glowing red name fades into view above her: Amile the broken Bishop— A massive health bar appears.
"...Oh shit."
And once again—BLACK.
Third loop:
“This… again.”
You stand where you woke up the last two times— same ruins, same smell, same damn altar.
“Okay, last time she had a health bar… and my backstab didn’t even tickle her. I need a new approach…”
You raise your voice.“BISHOP!! ATTENTION!!”
The towering figure slowly turns. Same blindfold. Same sharp teeth. Same massive presence. But this time… she doesn’t attack. She hesitates. She’s watching. You drop to your knees. Close your hands together. And begin to mimic the very same prayer posture she’s been doing.
“…You kneel in mockery… or mourning? Offer prayer… to whose name? To His? Or to your own, selfish wish?”
“Mmm… Him? And— I mean, I also kinda want to leave…”
“Him? …And you wish to leave…”
“No one leaves. No one survives… in His service.”
“You’ll become like me. Like us.”
“We prayed. We believed. We followed. We begged…”
“And we bled for Him.”
“All He gave us… were ‘miracles.’”
“Yet you still kneel… blindly.”
“I won’t let it happen again. Not to another. Not to you.”
“Forgive me— Let me end you— before you become like me.”
"Wait! Just—wait! I don’t even know a damn thing about—"
(But she doesn’t wait. Her claws cut the sentence short.)
The screen fades to black — fast, brutal.
"AHH—!! Hhh... wha...? Damn... she’s sick."
"But at least she can talk now. That’s... progress, right? And merciful death this time— still hurt like hell, though."
Airi
"Bro, you gotta see this!! Don’t you think the main character in this book looks weirdly familiar?"
"Huh?"
"What the hell?! He looks kinda like me—and the name... that’s literally my name! When did you pick up a hobby of turning me into your BL muse?!"
"What?! I just bought that at Comic-Con—it wasn’t cheap, y’know? And check out the lover boy... doesn’t he kinda look like a boy version I were? We look so adorable together~"
"Not adorable like this, dude. No wonder people in town have been giving us weird looks lately!"
"This... this can’t be a coincidence, right? Someone’s definitely taking notes on us. But who?"
"Uhh... your stepsis?"
"What?! Why is she the first person that comes to mind?"
"Bro, we’re basically friendless. Who else am I supposed to suspect? Your stepmom?"
"Hey! I’m not friendless, I’m just... selective, alright? And don’t bring my mom into this."
"Okay, okay—jokes aside... I’m actually pretty sure the author’s someone from our class. I recognized her when she signed my book at Comic-Con."
"You even got her autograph?"
"Hey! I don’t even like BL novels, but a good story’s a good story—especially when we're the main characters!"
"Yeah, so cute. So... any idea who it is?"
"Well, we can cross off half the class—most of them are total dumbasses who can't even read. But I did get a good look... she’s definitely weeby and wears glasses..."
"Airi? That nerd?"
"Ohh... yeah, that tracks."
Next day:
"Airi, recognized this book?"
"WH—WHAWAAAH—Th-That's not mine!! I-I mean, I’ve never seen that in my life!!"
Machine Spirit
Late at night, boredom creeps in— the kind that makes you search for anything other than what you’re supposed to be doing.
Studying can wait. Just for a bit.
You end up digging through old folders and half-forgotten downloads, installing every digital pet program you can find. You’re not sure why you do it. Curiosity, maybe— time slips by as windows stack across the screen, each one blinking, beeping, or asking for attention in its own outdated way.
Eventually, exhaustion wins— You leave the programs running and crawl into bed, letting the digital pets grind their levels on their own—no point in watching progress crawl all night.
Tomorrow, you’ll deal with whatever comes of it.
Waking up after only a few hours of sleep has never been your strength. Still, curiosity does the thinking for you— dragging your body to the desk before your brain fully catches up.
Just as you expected, most of the windows have frozen overnight, their screens dulled into lifeless gray. One by one, you start flipping through them, checking to see if any of the pets survived the digital hell you left them in.
Then you notice it— One program hasn’t crashed.
The window isn’t grayed out—but there’s no pet inside. No sprite. No animation. Just lines of text quietly sitting on the screen.
You don’t remember downloading this.Worse— no matter how hard you try, you can’t remember not downloading it either.
You narrow your eyes, leaning closer to the screen, trying to make sense of the displayed text.
“Input name.”
Easy. Too familiar. You’ve named enough digital pets to do this without thinking.
My Pet.
You press Enter.
“Input denied. Retry required.”
Fine. Pet A. Enter.
The text pauses for a moment...
“Can’t you be more creative?”
You freeze— That wasn’t supposed to happen.Just a second ago, you were ready to shut the program down out of boredom. Now, irritation and unease mix together, forcing you to sit upright. You rub your temple, trying to wake the few brain cells that survived last night.
An actual name, then. You type: (Input Name).
"Well done, system compiling..."
Satisfied by the naming technique, you're expecting what'd come next—
"Warming. Missing image data. Drag and drop an image to complete system initialization."
You find a trending meme on the web and drop it into the game— hoping to see your favorite meme come alive.
".......Retry required. Do better next time."
“I’ve never seen a game this mentally torturous.” Meanwhile, a voice in you, compelling you to drop something magnificent— but likely to get rejected by this weird program, knowing its attitude.
The famous gaming character hiding in a labyrinth made of folders —without hesitation, you haul the chosen one into the program!
"Initializing."
After a fleeting moment, what enters your sight isn't just another pitch-black background and series of texts, but...
An exact copy character in a digital pet form, staring at the screen— the technology is improving at the speed of a rocket, but this program is on an alien level.
"I'm your digital pet. To learn the details..."
Instead of watching the hovering text generated by the avatar, your cursor hovers over the sprite—clicking and dragging in random movement, testing if the program has any interactive system built in.
"Eeep? You're not allowed to pet me before level 5, Uww...STOP dragging me with force! Knock it off!"
The surprising response makes you stop and listen.
"Hah.. clearly I got an impatient owner— Seems you want to skip the basic tutorial, can you just click the bread icon, so I can finally eat something?"
"No way this is real! This interaction is so refined!"
"Huff! Speaking like I can't hear you, and not answering my request!"
"Besides, I'm tired of being nice! Can you understand my mood after knowing all my 51 former died from starvation just over a night? Bread, bread, bread, bread!"
Well… she’s definitely a brat.
She wears the skin of your favorite character, but whatever’s inside is something else entirely—demanding, sharp-tongued, and painfully smarter than any digital pet you’ve ever owned.
And somehow, she has a charm no other ever did— enough to keep you talking, long after you should’ve shut the PC down.
