I had sort of hinted that this was coming on Bluesky the other day, with my Scruffy Cypress post, and so here it is! It's actually been a while since I've drawn him like this, basically not since he got the white markings on him, and so I decided to go along a similar route as to what I'd done before, but with a touch of what I've been doing recently with Coop. Tbh, I think this look suits him as well ๐ He'd probably be looking like this a lot while travelling, and in between settlements where he could actually get his hair trimmed lol.
Also, during the timelapse, there was a period near the midpoint where I was actually getting pretty frustrated with this piece, and so I just started sketch a new idea and pose. (I actually did this a few time, but those other ones are on separated canvases ๐) I thought I might actually scrap the original idea completely, at one point lol. But... after taking a break, and having the mentality of not wanting those hours of painting to go to waste, I came back to it afterwards, and tried to play around with other ideas. Eventually after changing up the pose, not liking the changes, and then just liquifying the original pose so that he was posed a bit more to my liking, (going for that leaning back, "hands behind head" pose) that's when I got the idea for the setting, and just rolled with it. (Which I'm glad I did in the end) ๐
Anyways, hope you guys like the piece, and a bit of a scruffier Cypress for a change ๐
