Yes, I haven’t been updating the core translation engine. I took a detour to work on getting an AI assistant working because it was just too much damn fun. The app is now fully integrated with GPT4. It has complete control over the app.
What does this mean in the short term?
1. Manga translation now be done purely through natural language. Anyone will be able to translate manga.
2. Tasks that require multiple manual operations to perform (e.g. make all font size the same, bold certain lines, re-translate dialog using certain personality etc.) can be done with a single instruction to the AI.
There are other huge implications going forward. You can probably imagine what they are.
Now back to training neural nets.
