Starting this month, I’ll be experimenting with some updates to my Patreon rewards.

Specifically, these changes include:

Bringing back birthday art.

Eliminating the lottery system for Special Patron rewards.

Announcing quality guidelines for Special Patron rewards and birthday art.

And making minor adjustments to the details of these rewards.

1. Bringing Back Birthday Art

As those of you who have supported me for a long time know, I had temporarily suspended birthday art to free up time for commissions and other activities.

However, there have been many requests for its return from the very beginning, and I realized that this reward was more important to you all than I had initially thought.

Therefore, I have decided to bring back birthday art on a trial basis.

New Guidelines for Birthday Art

Originally, I created birthday art to coincide with the supporter’s actual birthday as much as possible. However, given the current situation, this has become difficult, so I will now categorize requests by month rather than by date. I will do my best to deliver the art within that month or the following month.

Rules

I will create a dedicated channel for birthday art on the Patreon Discord server.

Within the channel, there will be threads organized by year and month. Please post your request in the thread corresponding to your birth month.

One request per supporter. You cannot post multiple requests in the same month or in different months.

If you wish to change the details of your request, please delete or overwrite the old request to prevent any misunderstandings on my part. Please note that changes cannot be applied if the artwork is already in production.

Requests will be published on Patreon in the order they are completed. If you prefer a private request or wish to keep it unpublished, please contact me individually.

A ✅ reaction will be added to requests that have been completed.

※If my workload becomes overwhelming again, I am considering measures such as suspending birthday art once more or creating a dedicated birthday art tier to limit the number of requests.

2. Abolishing the lottery system for Special Patron Rewards

I will switch the Special Patron Rewards, which have previously been distributed via a lottery, to a first-come, first-served system. While a certain degree of randomness helped motivate me, the system had become noticeably unfair, so I am switching to a turn-based system.

Details

Those who were selected in the past two months will be shuffled individually and added to the bottom of the list above.

The list will be processed from the top down, and once a supporter is selected, they will move to the bottom of the list.

Newly joined supporters will be added to the row in front of the most recent two-month completed requests.

Previously, I limited rewards to three per month, but I’m changing this to two or three per month. I’d like to aim for three whenever possible.

There are no changes to how or where you submit requests, so you can continue as usual.

Note:

It appears there was a mistranslation in the machine translation.

The ‘Special Patron Reward’ is not on a first-come, first-served basis; instead, requests are selected in order from the top of the list and rotated through the queue.

The most recent request is selected for the reward. Therefore, you simply need to post your request in the dedicated channel once your turn is approaching.

As mentioned above, two to three requests are produced each month.

3. Announcing quality guidelines for Special Patron Rewards and Birthday Art.

Here, I’ll provide a rough guide to the quality standards for Special Patron Rewards and Birthday Art, using my past artwork as a reference.

Special Patron Rewards

For the Special Patron Reward, I will create the artwork based on my favorite sketch styles from various artists I've seen, using grayscale with accent colors, solid colors, and simple shading as a base.

Birthday arts

Birthday Art will be based on the Special Patron Reward, with added backgrounds and lighting.

Please note that these are merely guidelines, and the final results may not strictly adhere to them. Of course, I will not intentionally lower the quality, but there may be times when I end up raising it beyond what was originally planned. This is because I don’t want to lose motivation by being too bound by rules and specifications, nor do I want to intentionally suppress my motivation when it’s high.
