The characters of Our Fierce Differences! I figured some people had some trouble with the names. Information and characters will be added as time goes on so expect this to be updated.
Kaede Soona, our protagnist, an Irenian. She grew up in an Irenian village and was recently brought to the Narakyian city of Illesh to help with translation. She's sweet but has a temper and loves to read.
Korandr of Hyshurr, a Narakyian, a prince of the Illesh Kingdom and first heir to the Endless Sands. He's relatively calm, level headed and kind. He prefers to be called Kor and also loves to read.
Nara of Hyshurr, a Narakyian, Kor's elder sister. Though a princess, she currently does adminstration for the council. She angers easily and is very passionate.
Wasai of Treburr, a Narakyian, and a longstanding friend of both Nara and Kor. They grew up together in one of the noble's nurseries. She's an adept mage and her favourite hobby is teasing.
Zariah of Nakurr, a Narakyian and the current King of the Illesh Kingdom. He's mostly interested in his women and wine. He's one of the few Narakyian that's married twice.
Zaran of Nakurr, a Narakyian, and the second prince and Kor's half brother. He's somewhat bratty, enjoys partying and is highly competitive.
Etia of Barakurr of Kor's grandmother. She was known as the most powerful mage ever born to the Narakyian. Her rule brought peace to the deserts and she was beloved as a queen. She was allegedly killed by a Gardlian King.
Sanna of Hyshurr, a Narakyian and Kor's mother. She's a powerful fighter with a temper to match.
Beryl and Beritz, the Narakyian twin martriarchs of the main harem of Illesh. They like to talk in riddles and are enigmas. Nobody's quite sure which one is which as they seem to swap their names every month or so.
Ida, a Narakyian librarian who's employed in the huge central library at the city centre. She's a romantic at heart.
Micah, a Gardlian envoy who is determined to see his plan through. He comes from the upper continents and holds a grudge...
Barus, a Gardlian who is part of the envoys sent down to the desert. A merchant by trade, he really doesn't want to be here.
Belor of Lashurr, a Narakyian noble who's hot-headed, a little stupid and an asshole to boot. He currently (badly) manages the water systems of Illesh. Has a not so minor crush on Nara.
Tarin, a Narakyian who currently works as master of the birds within the palace. He's unbashedly blunt and difficult to befriend but Kor really likes him.
Bera of Lisashurr, a Narakyian noblelady who's rather haughty. Her and Kor have been longstanding partners for years.
Vanush of Izkurr, a Narakyian noblelady who comes from a lesser known Narakyian noble family. She works her hips hard to get ahead. She jumps at any chance to be with Kor.
Leela of Zanakurr, a Narakyian noblelady who comes from an old, traditional Narakyian family. Married to the King and is the mother of Zaran. She's very particular but knows how to party.
Liza, a Narakyian nursemaid who raised Kor, Nara and Wasai. She was an important figure in their lives. Kind and carying, she currently works at an orphanage in the lower city.
