For SIMSEH 3, one of the features was to have randomly generated characters that gain their features and stats upon spawning. The problem with this is it’s increasingly harder to add more layers due to system limitations in Procreate. Not to mention how much the operation dramatically slows down after a couple hundred layers. And the workflow is much more daunting that it was with Flash’s nested objects before. Construct doesn’t have the same feature so it’s just layers over layers of the same object on the main surface. So what I’ll do with this is to simply create each character as a unique object just like what I did with Scarlet Simulator. I can make lots of characters this way and while there would be some recycling, I can add some touches to each character that’ll give them something unique about them. SIMSEH 1 was created like that and the characters turned out much more interesting and well-defined than SIMSEH 2’s randomized and procedurally generated females.
