DESCRIPTION

Hi folks,

Wishing you the very best for the coming week from everyone at Rusty Towers!

Last year, we held the seventh instalment of our writing competition, Rusty Fears. Starting this week, we’ll be sharing the winning stories from this competition, releasing new stories every two weeks. These seven stories lead us up to the return of The Magnus Protocol, with season 2 act 3 beginning on 16th July on the public feed and 14th July for early access listeners!

The first of the winning Rusty Fears stories is Clunk, written by Nairis Santini for the prompt ‘Deep Space’. Clunk is read by Shahan Hamza and directed by April Sumner. It will be available in early access on Tuesday at 16:00 BST, and on the public The Magnus Archives feed on Thursday at 16:00 BST.

A huge thank you to everyone who backed The Magnus Archives Mysteries boardgame while it was crowdfunding – thanks to your incredible support, Indie Boards and Cards smashed their goals and raised over $300,000 for the project! If you missed out the crowdfund, don’t worry – it’s currently open for late pledges, meaning you can still pre-order your own copy of the game! To make a late pledge, just head to The Magnus Archives Mysteries Kickstarter page now.

Next up, a quick reminder that we’ll be appearing at Crossed Wires Podcast Festival in July! Jonathan Sims and Alexander J Newall will be performing fan-favourite statements live on stage, as well as looking back on ten years of The Magnus Archives. Tickets are available at crossedwires.live, including an add-on for a meet and greet, while stocks last!

Finally, in news from the RQ Network, Hanging Sloth Studios is currently crowdfunding a sequel spin-off for their gory horror romance, Not Quite Dead. Snow Blood picks up years after the end of Not Quite Dead, as Alfie is doing everything he can to make the world a more welcoming place for vampire kind, but someone has been watching him… The first episode of Snow Blood will be out today on the Not Quite Dead podcast feed.

To find out more and to back Snow Blood, head to their Kickstarter page, where they will be crowdfunding until 8th May 2026. If you haven’t previously listened to Not Quite Dead, every episode is available to listen to now wherever you find podcasts, on the Hanging Sloth Studios website or on the Rusty Quill website.

Have a good week all!
