We'd been told that a dozen miners, mostly dwarves from the Blue Lands, worked in the distant mines; but when we arrived, we found no one.Everything was in its place—the beds recently used, the kitchen full of spoiled food—but only a few days had passed since the preparations. Everything was in its place, or almost, only the people we expected were missing.There was no choice but to enter the mines and find out what had happened.

A mining outpost in a region far from major cities, a rocky and sparsely populated area. The mine is accessed both through an entrance carved into the rock face and through an open-air opening, probably built recently.A few small houses serve as dormitories and kitchens, while on the rocky heights an observation point allows one to monitor the only approach road.

Alternate versions have differences in layout or in atmospheric and environmental conditions.
