DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone,

I just want to take a moment to thank you all for the incredible amount of feedback I’ve received lately. So many of you have shared what you like, what you don’t, and have helped me catch issues like typos, clipping, and other bugs. It means a lot, and I couldn’t be happier.

Right now, I’m in the middle of fixing a lot of things. I’ve already uploaded four updated versions of the game on Patreon, and the fifth patch will go up this week once I finish resolving some lighting issues with the blinking animations. This upcoming patch will also introduce a very important feature: the Export File Save option. This is essential for playing Episode 4, since it will be part of a new season and therefore saved in a separate folder.

I’m currently coding that feature — well, adapting it, since it’s not originally my own code — and making sure it works properly.

Now, here’s what I’ve accomplished so far:

The full Season 1 playthrough is ready. It includes color-coded buttons, tutorial screens, and for the Steam version, an info screen explaining how to unlock all achievements. It looks great, and I’m really happy with it. I might tweak the text and colors a bit, but I doubt it — so I haven’t released it just yet.

All Steam achievements have been created and implemented in the scripts. I’ve also got someone working on polished, professional-looking icons. I still need to test them through the Steam client, but that part is essentially done.

Next up is finishing the Export File Save menu, the French translation, and a batch of 4K wallpapers for the wallpaper set.

The good news is that I’m ahead of schedule, so I won’t be burning myself out translating 150,000 words (139,000 for the script plus all the phone content). I can also ease back into 3D work by creating new 4K renders and streaming the process on Discord — which is always fun.

I won’t start Season 2 until the French translation is finished, as there’s still plenty to handle first. I also need to reorganize my Daz libraries (which are a total mess right now) to streamline my workflow. On top of that, I have to plan out the Season 2 branching and personality paths.

Many of you have voiced concerns about the idea of cutting ties with certain LIs — and I hear you. Originally, I planned for six LIs and two paths. Now, it’s nine LIs and three paths. I still believe I can pull this off seamlessly, but I also have some new options to consider. Nothing will fundamentally change the story — only the content you see based on the path you choose. I want to make sure I choose the best approach before committing to another two years (or more) of development on the next season.

For this reason, I probably won’t talk much about Season 2 until all these decisions are made. I’ll continue posting weekly updates on Mondays, unless there’s nothing meaningful to share — in that case, I’ll let you know through a community message here on Patreon and on Discord.

So, there’s still a bit left to do for Steam, but progress is steady. Again, thank you so much for your support and feedback — it truly keeps me going. We're also nearing 10k wishlists on Steam, which is an incredible milestone. So if you havent wishlisted Law School - Season 1 on Steam yet, please do it as it helps a lot :)

See you all next week, and in the meantime, have a wonderful day.
