Law School Episode 4 - Progress update #1
DESCRIPTION

(I hope you’ll forgive me for using this image and not an actual one from Season 2—I haven’t rendered a single one yet, lol.)

Hey everyone!Welcome to the first update for Episode 4 of Law School.

It’s been a month since Episode 3 dropped. Since then, I’ve taken some time to reflect, tweak a few things, and plan out a better strategy to deliver both the main story and the love interests' arcs for Season 2. I spent a few days outlining Episodes 4 and 5, and once everything felt right, I jumped into writing.

For this second season, my goal is to release episodes about the size of Episode 2—around 2.5k renders—every 4 to 5 months. As much as Episode 3 got love for its length, those six months were... a lot. Not the worst, but definitely a reminder that this game dev thing is a marathon, not a sprint.Smaller episodes, released a bit more often, help me keep the stress in check—which, honestly, is probably my biggest health risk these days. So yeah, that's the plan.Of course, you know how it goes—devs aim for a number and end up 1.5x over. Sometimes more, lol. But I’ll try to stick to it.

Alright, now that the future’s covered, let me tell you what’s been going on so far:

Most of my time’s gone into writing and organizing my Daz libraries. During Episode 3, I kept loading characters with the wrong morphs or skin settings, which meant backtracking and fixing stuff—a massive waste of time for dumb reasons. So I went ahead and saved proper presets for all the LIs, the MC, SG, and a bunch of other characters, and loaded them onto my Steam Deck. Now I can jump into scenes way faster, and everything stays consistent. Well... until I chop off Miranda’s leg in Episode 5—then I’ll have to update her preset again.

I also started building a bunch of new environments for Season 2—like the MC and the gang’s house, their rooms, and more. Still got a few things to finish, but I’m making good progress.

As for the writing itself, like previous episodes, everything’s planned out before I actually dive into scene work. Right now I’ve written about 30% of Episode 4—close to 2,000 lines of dialogue. So I’m right on track for the size I want per episode. I think Episode 2 had around 5.5k lines? Something like that.

So yeah—lots of writing done, and now I’m really itching to get into the 3D scenes.

I can’t give you a word count update just yet (which I think I’ll start including in future updates alongside scenes, images, and animations), because I want to wait until there’s actual 3D content to report. But that should be coming next week!

Outside of all that, things are good.

Thanks so much for all the love and support you’ve sent my way lately. It really means a lot. I’m super excited to have you along for the ride as we dive into Law School – Season 2. As always, I’ll do my best to deliver something special.

That’s it for this update—back to work I go.Man, I missed saying that.

Have a great week, and I’ll see you all next Monday!
