Hey everyone,
As I’m writing this it’s Friday, 1AM, which means I’m about to head out for my trip. I hate leaving work on hold, but yeah, sometimes you don’t really have a choice.
Still, I’m feeling pretty good about the week. I managed to get enough renders done to keep both rigs busy until I’m back… at least I hope so. I have 6 animations queued still, and about 240 renders. While it seems like a lot, it's probably right about what I can render in about 8-9 days when the computers are running 24/7. At least I estimate so.
I ran into a couple annoying errors in the queue on the LEWD scene though. Two save files are corrupted, so I’ll have to re-pose them (pain), but the bigger issue is the whole queue stops when the error pops up. I noticed those files were about 10x smaller than the others, so I’m guessing something got messed up while saving and some data got lost. I checked all the other scenes and they seem fine, so hopefully we don’t see this again.
The good news is I’ll be keeping an eye on things with my laptop every now and then to make sure everything’s running smoothly. What scares me is last time I left for a few days, one of the PCs became inaccessible because of internet issues, and the queue stopped. So I’m really hoping we don’t get a repeat of that.
But if it does happen… oh well. Law School Episode 5 delayed to July 2028, sorry!
Anyway, numbers time:
Static renders: 1,088Animations: 29Story content: 16 scenes written (12,857 words)
That’s 131 renders since last week, and that was basically in only 4 days of work. If I wasn’t leaving, it probably would’ve been +200 again. Overall, I’m happy with this week.
I also started getting into the two other LEWD scenes for DAY1. I say “scenes” because I stopped the first one the moment I hit the LEWD part, then jumped to the other one but didn’t reach the LEWD part there either. I just didn’t want to come back and immediately have to go straight into animating. That would be evil.
That said, the first LEWD scene for this episode is going to make a lot of people very happy… but the second one is just… stunning. The renders look great, the dialogue flows really nicely, and I went out of my way to try some different stuff. I’m really pleased with how it’s turning out. If I nail the animations, it’s going to be a killer scene. Which puts a loooot of pressure on that third one lol, but I’ll do my best to deliver something great.
Also, this episode was always meant to be bigger than Episode 4, but it’s starting to look like it might end up bigger than even Episode 3 in terms of raw content. I keep adding scenes and tweaking things because it genuinely makes it better, but it also adds more work. I’m a little nervous since I’m really trying to stick to the 6-month schedule per update. At the same time, I’m ahead right now for this episode, so we’ll see where things stand in about two months.
While I’m away, I’ll be writing a ton of content, which should help a lot when I get back and can just hammer renders nonstop. I’ll probably come back to an empty render queue, or close to it, so that’ll be very needed.
Anyway, that’s it for this week. Bit longer than usual. I guess I feel a little bad leaving work for this long, but sometimes your hands are tied. I’ll try to make the best out of it, and in the meantime I hope you all have a great week.
See you,MisterAway
PS: Little reminder, there won’t be an update next Monday. I’ll see you in two weeks.
