Hey everyone, I'm still hard at work with the Wasteline remake, but I didn't want to just leave you all hanging until the first build is ready. bun has been crushing their workload on Wasteline before now, so in the meantime I decided to have them make another Fataclysm reference sheet! I'm really happy with how this one turned out, and I hope you all are as well.
I've also decided to include a little diagram alongside the sheet with some of official symbols pertaining to the various factions in Fataclysm.
And, since there isn't a ton of direct exposition in game about them, here are descriptions of each:
The Xyfall Primacy: A society that's known for its vast wealth and commitment to freedom for its people. Xyfall's governmental policy is dictated solely by its elected Primarch, with their current leader being fairly well-liked by the citizenry. Despite these facts, however, many of Xyfall's territories suffer from extreme poverty, with immense wealth inequality being the faction's largest issue by far.
The Primacy is a moderately-sized galactic empire, with several dozens of planets being under its control. However, it's somewhat dwarfed by its largest adversary, the Promethium Protectorate. Astrid hails from the Xyfall Primacy, and is a member of their primary military.
The Promethium Protectorate of Tau Vakton: A highly authoritarian and militaristic society, known primarily for its imperialism and extensive conquest. Its culture places the utmost value upon individual merit, especially when it comes to achievement on the field of battle. The Protectorate's direction is dictated by its Promethium Imperator, the faction's top general who typically earns the position through decades of military experience. Its current leader is widely feared, yet brutally efficient at what she does.
In spite of the Protectorate's endless crusade and mandated military service, nearly all of its territories enjoy very high standards of living. Over the years of its conquests, the faction has amassed an incredible amount of resources, and thus its people rarely suffer the ills that would typically come with having a high population.
The Promethium Protectorate is a large galactic empire, one of the largest to ever exist in recorded history. Hundreds of planets exist under its banner, and its ruthless territorial expansion is likely to never cease. Both Sakura and Estelle are from the Protectorate, but they each hail from very differing cultures and sub-factions.
The Fangs of Itheria: An elite military regiment, made up exclusively of the cat-eared denizens of Itheria VII. Though their member count is relatively small compared to Tau Vakton's primary military, They've garnered an exceptional reputation thanks to the fact that their soldiers are highly trained and boast incredible strength and durability. Sakura belongs to this sub-faction.
The Promethium Inquisition: The Protectorate's secret service, dedicated solely to carrying out covert operations and maintaining order in Tau Vakton through more discrete methods. The Inquisition isn't widely known to any faction, but whispers about faceless, cyan-glowing assassins strike fear into the hearts of both the Protectorate's enemies as well as its people. Estelle belongs to this sub-faction.
Ok, exposition dump over. You might be wondering, "where's Aria?" Well, you all will just have to wait until more details are revealed about her and her faction in the future. Anyways, one last thing before I wrap this post up - Estelle's reference sheet has been updated just a bit as well!
What with the new symbol for her faction, as well as the fact that she didn't have a cool helmet design like Sakura, bun decided that she could use an update. As always, thanks to them once again for making all these awesome designs!
