Thank you to everyone who participated in the brainstorming session. Those were some really fun ideas, and I had fun mixing them together into a final concept. I'm closing the suggestions for now so I can get to work on this project.
Based on your suggestions, I think I'm going with an open warehouse. Yue is busy with a chemistry set, creating an experimental new balloon to play with. During testing, not only does the balloon happily get huge, but it also begins to float, eventually lifting Yue up off the ground with its helium-like gas.
A cameo from another character tapping on the glass from outside distracts Yue, causing the "air" to rush back into Yue, filling her with the same lifting gas. She'll be surprised by the sudden belly inflation at first, but once she realizes she's floating, she'll roll with it and go right back for round two.
I might still make some tweaks depending on how things work out, but how does something like that sound to you guys?
