Hello everyone,
It’s been a while. I had planned to release content every 3 days, but I couldn’t keep that promise. I’ve been working hard on the visual novel, handling interfaces, programming, dialogue, and choices, which has taken a lot of time.
The prologue is about 50% done. The menu is complete, and I just need to finalize the UI. After that, only a few expressions and poses for Mia, Bakcgrounds remain. Funny enough, I didn’t realize how similar “Mia” and “Mio" (HMioKun) are when I picked her name from my list.
The delay is also because I’ve been looking for an apartment. I signed a lease yesterday and need to get everything ready before Saturday, so I won’t be very active until then. I’ll be back to work on Monday.
In the meantime, I’ll focus on Chapter 3 Part 1 of Beat Banger Encore between March 23 and April 5, so you’ll still have content to enjoy.
I can’t wait for you to play the prologue and share your feedback. It will be short, but once it’s done, I can fully focus on writing, dialogue, choices, backgrounds, character design, and animations for Chapter 1.
Programming is going really well, with features like skin color selection. I’m also considering multiple languages and giving players the choice between vocalizations, full voice acting, or no sound. I’ll test both voice acting and vocalizations in the prologue, but since it’s costly, I’ll wait for your feedback before deciding on Chapter 1, especially since I also have to add voice acting to BB: Encore.
My goal is to grow my Patreon enough to cover living costs, pay voice actresses, and later bring in translators. That’s mainly where your support will go.
