Hi everyone! Here with a March update for you.
Work continues on the script and assets for episode 2. A lot of sprite work has been completed by Flint - Henri and Eloise, Sebastien and Emma's father and mother, Peach, Willow (a new side character), and updates to multiple characters have been ticked off the list. Here's Eloise all finished up:
And Henri. His design is a little haunting and off-putting, yeah? Flint did exactly what I was hoping for in Henri:
Reo has finished the background for a very special scene where we're introduced to Peach:
Looking forward to animating that one; it's going to be quite the striking scene!
As far as the writing goes, it's slow going. I'm holding the prose to a much higher standard than I did in episode 1, which could have been a lot better on my part. The story's also been tweaked a little bit here and there after working with my editor more, which resulted in a bit of added length, so I'm expecting to be writing for another 3-4 months. The original timeline I wanted to aim for (mid 2026 release) is still totally possible, but I'm not going to stress it if it needs to take a bit longer to be right.
To tie you guys over while we toil away on the VN, I've written a couple short comic scripts that I'll sprinkle in over the coming months. Reo is doing the first one, which will be a 4 page NSFW romantic short between Colson and Sebastien (ooo la la).
