(TLDR: Anthology Vol 1&2 available next month, attempted book 5 posts and edit, been stupid sick for 2 months, I can only keep moving forward)
Hello everyone,
So, I had basically jinxed myself again with my last update being so hopeful.
I did not intend to disappear, infact I made a post on Reddit saying I would return over the holidays to post book 5 and get back into a schedule… but everytime I promise that, my life gets upended by something. It's getting to the point I have no idea what to do.
Little Wiggles just won't sleep, even with medication, and has no chill when I sit on the computer to type. (I'm currently writing this on my phone in an attempt to get something out to you guys) it's now reached the level I'm considering prescription medication for my 16 month old so I can get more than 3 hours of consecutive sleep a night… this post is so late because of him..
The entire family has also been sick too many times. We've have everything, gastro, covid (round 3) colds, sinus infections, cellulitis, never ending and staggered between all 4 of us at any one time with at least 3 rounds of anti-biotics.
Lastly, my husband got a new job and it was horrific, not only did they lie about the job description, pay and hours, the conditions he was forced to work under was stressing him out so much it was causing him to be sick and bringing some of that sickness home. He was threatened with assault with a weapon and verbally abused every shift.
He quit today.
New year, new opportunities.
What little I have been able to do is as follows:
I cleaned up and made myself a new office
Squiggle story studio anthologies vol 1 & 2 are almost ready to release for patreon exclusives next month. I just have to write a foreword on vol 1 and the artwork for vol 2 have been paid and will be updated as its created by Kimmagedeon Creations
I have an idealised schedule for next year
Book 5, is currently on a reread for Reddit and Royal Road posting.
And hopefully, with my husband home And not stressed into a depressive state, i might get some time to write again…
I hate myself for stalling, id promise ill do better but im not sure when ill be back to my old self, the passion is there, ill get the time back eventually..
