Xant is staring out the window at the light speed moving stars. The jump will be ending soon but this makeshift spot by the window is his favourite for passing time.
Xant has been in charge of the makeshift infirmary, rationing the medical suppilies and producing more with the equipment the pirates stole from branch.
They can heal wounds but regrowing limbs was off the table until they had fixed the systems destroyed in the battle for control of the ship.
Pirates, council rangers, imperial soldiers and humans, all found themselves sailing inside an old enemy ship; it was an uneasy alliance once the danger had lifted.
Jasmine is playing translator between pirates and non-translater humans, making sure they were getting their fair share of rations and water. The puppies were safe and secure but she has a gut feeling that something is ‘off’ (she only confieds in Xant once theyre out of ear shot.)
Rynard gives his report about the injured council rangers that followed Jasmine onto the ship, and the damage of the ship.
Jasmine asks how the rangers are doing and rynard replies that those who have all their limbs are getting antsy without orders. They need a space to train and keep themselves active. Jasmine understands but shes not sure what orders to give them, she wants to confirm with Beau and the red ash admiral. Rynard, xand and jasmine make their way up to the bridge.
The bridge was a frightening place the last time they were on it facing off against The Lady of the Arc. Xant tensed up walking into the holoscreened room, it felt like they were walking out into the void itself, waiting to float away.
Beau and Aralukia were locking in a tense discussion, he was complaining out loud that he had been ‘jumping’ for hours and he needed to rest. Aralukia scoffed and argued that they need to get as far away from branch as possible, then her ships can start navigating their way back to pirate controlled space. They couldn't do so without alerting council satellites.
The ship wouldn't take orders from anyone who wasn't human, of which only three had a translator. Aralukia states that Jasmine can take over, at first jasmine protests, but beau’s eyes are blood shot and he looks tired. Jasmine reluctantly agrees, and asks the admiral what her plans are.
“To return to Lukia,”
jasmine asks “and then what?” Aralukia shakes her head and replies
“We havent gotten that far yet,” and tries to leave the bridgeXant then tries to ask her about manufacturing equipment, but is promptly ignored.
Jasmine asks Rynard to escort Beau safely to the infirmary and then asks Xant a favour.
“Can your find (Frosty)Itsuki?”
