Hi all!

It's been a really busy but producting few weeks. I've decided to include the Mia scene in the next Patreon update, as it seems a bit mean to give an update without any lewdness at all.

As a result, I've been rendering like a loon and have now compeleted the scene. I definitely got very carried away with this one, but I'm really thrilled with the result. Mia's scene (actually 2 scenes) has a total of 685 images, and 44 animations. By far the most I've done for any scene. When you see the shots, you'll also realise why they might have taken a bit of time too. Multiple elements having to be comped together for the majority of the scene. In my opinion, it was all worth it.

For those of you who are interested in the comping side of things, generally, the script looks fairly simple, like this...

The above is quite simply, the base shot (green) which needs to be re-sized, then saved out (deep red). There is the occasional Paint node in there, where I've had to paint out some artifacts, or a merge node here and there where I need to layer over a patch.

Now... When combining multiple images together, particularly ones that needs to change over time (Think water or a rolling background that would look silly if they stayed on the same frame...) things get a little more complicated, as you have to merge together items on a different frame for each iteration of the shot.

This is what Mia's script ended up looking like...

It's messy as hell, and the previous professional compositing me would be tearing myself apart about it, but to give you an idea of how much post production goes into the shots in Jury. It's a lot!

Anyway, here's a couple of shots to give you some food for thought (no these aren't the more complicated ones....) :)

So I've finished all renders, all animations and have played though and it all looks good. I've added the music, sound effects etc too, so that done, as well as notebook entries. I need to do a few more tests, then I'll roll out the release.

I'm away this weekend, but will get the monthly renders rolled out, then hope to release the Patreon Episode potentially next Friday, pending all being well.

Following that, I'll put up a vote for the next scene (You'll have a better idea of them by then because you'll be able to see the choices in game, and have a bit more context for your voting, but well done for voting this one first! It was great fun!)

Speak soon!
