DESCRIPTION

Hey guys, this is a pretty important update regarding Emily Saunders and her next chapter.

I’ve been working to transition Emily (and her cast) out of the Labyssitory and into a new, dedicated project: The Saunderverse. This will continue her main canon story but also open up the doors to fun side content — things like skits, supplementary comics, and casual, character-driven moments that suit her unique vibe.

The idea is to give Emily more room to breathe creatively, and to give me more sanity while making her stories. 😅 Her comics are significantly more time-consuming to produce than my typical Labyssitory projects, and constantly switching between the two has become increasingly difficult — especially since most fans tend to follow one or the other, not both.

This move helps streamline that split. Emily will have her own dedicated Patreon (once it’s functioning — more on that in a sec), and her stories will be added to and developed between Labyssitory projects. This lets me pace things better, avoid burnout, and give both worlds the attention they deserve.

But First… a Glitch in the Matrix

The Saunderverse Patreon was supposed to go live right away — but unfortunately, Patreon auto-suspended the new account the moment I signed up. No warning, no reason. I’ve contacted support and am waiting to hear back, so hang tight — I’ll post updates as soon as I know more.

What to Expect

  • The Saunderverse Patreon will have a single, affordable tier that gives access to all Emily-related content.

  • Emily’s existing comics will still be searchable in the Labyssitory archives, so if you’re one of the broad-minded folks who enjoy both worlds, you don’t have to go anywhere.

  • This separation is meant to clarify what I do, reduce audience confusion, and give each party (Labyssitory & Emily) the space they need to thrive.

Who's Moving (and Who’s Not)

Characters like Lee, Masque, Giga Woman X, and Sarah X are not moving to the Saunderverse — they’re still core parts of the Labyssitory. Emily’s powers are deeply tied to her world and tone, while the others are more flexible and can appear in stories without shapeshifting, if the narrative calls for it. You might still see them make guest appearances in Emily’s stories, but they won’t be regular cast members.

What’s Next

With Emily stepping into her own universe, the next Labyssitory project on deck is April North — but I’ll be holding off on diving into it until I get a few more Saunderverse setup tasks wrapped. Even without the Patreon hiccup, there’s still background work to sort out.

It’s frustrating having to pause this transition on account of Patreon messing about when everything was meant to roll out smoothly, but we’re adapting. I’ll keep you updated the moment things start moving again!

Follow the Saunderverse

While we wait for Patreon to sort itself out, you can follow the Saunderverse on its brand-new social platforms (they're a little bare-bones right now, but growing fast!):

Thanks for sticking with me through all this. I’m excited for what’s ahead, both for Emily and for the rest of the Labyssitory cast. Let’s make some cool stuff.

All the best,
– Giles
