Here's a little blog post that I wrote about card scanning that I worked on a month ago.
It contains a short written overview of how card scanning would work and reasoning behind why I think card scanning would be cool.
As development ramps up, I'll compile a list of milestones that I want to complete for first half of 2018.
To be honest, for the project, card scanning isn't my top priority. It may be cool for custom games though, but I wouldn't want to make card scanning a required format or game mode to play. The option should still exist.
My plan going forward with anything I make is to try to implement more creative ideas that really bring life and excitement into the game.
Do you remember when Yu-Gi-Oh! games used to be so creative? Dungeon Dice Monsters on the Game Boy Advance. RPG Yu-Gi-Oh! games on the PS1 or PS2. Yu-Gi-Oh! games that didn't simply follow the card game rules.
I want to build something that brings light to the game. Makes you smile for that split moment and get caught up in a new fresh air of fun.
