After a long absence, I’m finally back.
I don’t want to repeat myself and apologize to you again, because lately almost every post from me has just been another apology. I’m honestly sick of it myself, but I still can’t just ignore it, so I’m apologizing once more for being gone for so long.
Let me explain what happened. I got severely burned out on my first artwork of the character Ogawa Sumireko. I kept believing until the very end that I could finish it and didn’t want to drop the project, especially since I had already spent so much time on it. But no matter how much I rested, every time I returned to it I just couldn’t force myself to continue. I can’t fully explain why, but it’s most likely because when I work on the same piece for too long, the motivation eventually disappears and I have zero desire to keep going.
Since I still believed I would finish it, I didn’t dare start anything new. That was my biggest mistake. I should have dropped it right away and moved on to something else. Eventually I did exactly that, but a lot of time had already been wasted.
Don’t think I was completely idle this whole time, though. I’ve already started working on two new artworks — one is fully finished, and the second is in the rendering stage. I’ll upload them right after this post and start distributing the rewards as well.
I’ll do my best to somehow compensate you for the “empty” subscription period, and I still fully intend to deliver all the rewards I owe. I’m not backing out of that promise.
I’m also adding all the materials from the abandoned artwork to the rewards.
Usually, I turn off monetization when I realize I won’t be able to provide enough content for the month. But right now I’m going through a tough time, and I don’t have the option to do that. Without it, I simply won’t be able to continue dedicating myself fully to this. That’s why I’m incredibly grateful that you continue to support me no matter what.
