The finalized update for 69 Days After (1.2) is now available for all Silver+ patrons!
This update is a big step towards calling the game complete in its current state, although I am still interested in giving it infrequent larger updates down the line to add sets of photos and other content, it's very close to being complete unto itself for now.
This version sees a massive update to the Photos in the game, with over half of them being tweaked and a couple of them being completely remade. There were some photos which were created a long time ago when I wasn't as good at pixel art yet, as well as a few that I was just not happy with. I went through every single one and made sure they were all of consistent style, improved the quality of the worst ones, and touched up some details mostly faces of others.
This version also overhauls the weapons and combat in the game. Two new weapons have been added, the Baseball Bat and Switchblade, both of which can now be generated when starting a new game (Katana has been removed from possible starting items, however.) These new weapons are weaker during combat encounters but are much easier to find, and provide earlier solutions for problems that required specific weapons to complete, especially because weapons were only found in one of two places previously. Additionally, each character now has a favourite weapon, when a character is using their favourite weapon their combat bonus is maximized. Since certain character's even prefer the weaker weapons, it adds a new dynamic to planning combat encounters, and adds more chances for the RNG in the game to help or hinder you in different runs.
The New Game + mode has also been added, as a fairly basic but somewhat interesting challenge mode, which will be expanded upon in future versions. This version also contains a few bug fixes and other changes not listed here, see the changelog for full details.
