BUT that tariff thing is actually way worse than we even thought it would be.
The minimum cost for sending goods out to the rest of the world from the UK is locked at package prices now. Even though we only use envelopes we still have to pay the same flat rate. This drives up the cost of our international shipping by an additional $10 per order. Which is already bad if you're buying a bunch of things at once but it's insane if you're only buying one magnet for four bucks and the shipping is like fifteen. One tiny upside is that all orders are now automatically upgraded to tracked shipping and this is all just until we can find a cheaper mail carrier or other alternative.
Speaking of alternatives, we still do not have one for our online shopping cart provider, which is set to shut down at the end of this month. I don't want to be too pessimistic but I'll say that if there was anything in the shop that you had your eye on, you might want to snag it before April 30th if you were ever going to. Because as of this writing I don't know what the future holds for us being able to still operate a physical merch store.
So fun stuff, huh? I usually do these merch announcements with a lot more exclamation marks and smiley faces but in this case it's more about weathering a difficult situation.
