DESCRIPTION

Hey y'all,

I spent a long week improving and setting up the "fight now" system, with a lot of additions added, and a much smoother experience. I'll finish Diana's match in the next couple of days, after which I can finalize everything.

I generally don't like having spent this amount of time on a complex feature only a few will have fun with, but it is as it is. It got me thinking... how can I potentially make it more appealing for people and them wanting to play this feature? Some play for the fun of it, others may only want to play it if there's something to gain.

I've implemented a reward system. You'll earn cash every time you win a fight. Depending on the difficulty chosen, you'll earn less or more. That cash can be used to unlock unique scenes for each of the characters, that aren't directly tied into the story. These will mostly be sexual encounters, as is the nature of this side of the industry, but perhaps sometimes also something different to learn more about them in a non-sexual way. Depending how much time I have, I'll try to create these scenes. I want to keep them quite simple, so they don't take too much time.

Clinches and takedowns can now be evaded, depending on block and evasion skill level.

I've added a general round timer to a match. You now have 5 minutes to complete a match (just like a real round in the UFC). If the time is up, and there's neither a knockout nor submission, you'll be judged on your overall performance. Every significant strike and takedown, score points. If you have more than your opponent, you win.

Submissions now have a limited timer. The lower your skills, the less time you have to react and complete a stage. This should make it more difficult to use.

There's 3 difficulty options, easy, medium and hard. Easy puts your skill level at 3, unlocking a 5 move combo, medium gives you level 2 with a 4 move combo, hard will put you at level 1 with a 3 move combo. The reverse will be true for your opponent. You'll also gain different stats, making you either weaker or stronger depending on the difficulty selected.

Individual moves can now be cleared from their slots, rather than having to press the reset combo button and clear the whole lot all the time. Thanks Pennel, for the idea! 😘

I'll still have to make a screen/menu that shows you you performance stats in the end, but I'll do that after I finish Diana's match. Then I'll get some people together to test the hell out of everything and get a general opinion of how it feels. I know that most of the current testing team don't like the fight game that much, so I think I'll need to recruit a fresh batch that actually enjoys this part of the game and wants to test it. Let me know if you do! I'm sure its unballanced and horrible as fuck, and I need a lot of input to fix it!

I'll do a another release when it's ready, just so I can get it out to the public and potentially catch more bugs before the Steam release. Then I'll continue with finishing the remaining scenes of EP3. Kill me now... 🥲

Cheers,

Ezy ❤️
