This is sort of an experiment and I'd love to know if this is something people would actually wanna see more of. These are some 360° images of previous renders. I've supplied a regular 360° and a stereoscopic 360° version of each image.
If you don't know the difference, a 360° image is just a sphere that you stand in the center of and look around. A stereoscopic 360° is the same but it's two images, one for each eye, which gives you actual depth when looking at the image. Stereoscopic images and videos provide a much more immersive experience.
The thing about these images is, that not everyone has the means to experience them properly, like for example with a VR headset. Though one of those headsets that you drop your smartphone in, should also suffice.
If you just want to see the 360° image in a browser, you can try https://renderstuff.com/tools/360-panorama-web-viewer/ which works nicely and also has VR capabilities, if you have the hardware.
So please let me know what you think and if I should supply more 360° images for future renders. I do have an animation in the works, which I'd also render in 360°. My GPU is gonna hate me for it.
