Saphie propped herself up on her elbow she and Izzy had been chatting and sunbathing for a while. The sun cast it’s warm light down on them, and Saphie cast a deep shadow over the minuscule cities she lay over. Many had been ground to dust under her body. She hadn’t even noticed. It was already becoming quite difficult to think of the microscopic people below her as human. They were just so small. She couldn’t view the world from their perspective anymore. She couldn’t imagine what it must be to look up at her filling the sky. She placed her elbow down on the soft green and grey earth, erasing a suburb without a thought.
Something moving caught her eye. Another, very tint cloud of dust was rising out of an urban area. At first she could just see what looked like a puff of smoke coming out a pattern of crystalline structures, but from the cloud, a tiny figure began to emerge. After a few seconds, it stopped growing. It was a little woman who looked to be the size of a mouse, who it seemed had sprouted out of the ground.
“Oh Izzy! It looks like we have a new friend come to play! She didn’t quite make it as far as we did.” Saphie rolled over and reach out to grab the tiny woman, who had been backing away, and was turning to flee as Saphie’s hand descended. Saphie held the quivering woman in her hand close to her face to inspect her. She was pretty, and maybe a few years older than Saphie and Izzy. “You look fabulous.” Saphie purred. “Don’t worry, you’ll be safe with us.”
“What have you got?” asked Izzy, now curious about what Saphie had found.
“Why don’t you see for yourself.” said Saphie, dropping the tiny giantess onto her friend’s stomach to squeals of laughter.
