Five years ago, I started this project with one goal: make Minecraft look like it was never a game to begin with. R3.6.0 is the closest I've ever gotten to that.
What's new
*Bedrock RTX — now in Beta*
The experimental tag is gone. After months of work building, automating and manually tinkering with the Bedrock texturepack, Optimum Realism RTX is officially in Beta on Bedrock Edition. Real path-traced lighting, full PBR materials, the works — on console, Windows, and mobile. Though for mobile, it's best you try the 64x version, because it's a solid 1024x atlas limit, and there's some other limitations imposed by the game.
> Note: Leaves are still a work in progress on Bedrock. Bedrock doesn't support custom leaf models the way Java does, so there's quite a bit of modifications still left on that.
*New blocks — Copper & Honey*
Every copper variant — bars, chains, lanterns, bulbs — across all four oxidation stages, fully PBR textured. Honey blocks and honeycomb are in, too, with that satisfying translucent depth that PBR was basically made for.
